Watch the best wake surfers in the country compete at the Southern Classic Wake Surfing Classic presented by Norris Lake Boat Center, a worldwide wake surf event and qualifier for the World Wakesurf Championships. This year, it will take place on May 5th and 6th at Lonas Young Park in LaFollette Tennessee.

Enjoy the action up close by watching from the shore – the channel is just 350 feet wide! While we’re working on getting food trucks, you’re welcome to bring your own food and drink. The city park has a range of amenities including restrooms, trails, sandy beach, and camping spots with W/RV hookups. Please note that while a boat launch is available, we don’t recommend using it during the event.
If you’re looking for accommodation, the Shanghai Resort is conveniently located just 15 minutes away and offers hotel rooms with boat slips for $139 a night. Onsite camping is also available, complete with RV hookups.
