Dear 2024 WWSC Competitors and Families,

This morning I was made aware of derogatory statements containing obscenities that were uttered by the announcers on the livestream of the 2024 World Wake Surfing Championship. The extremely disrespectful statements were made in reference to the Pro Female Surf finalists. I want to take this opportunity to profusely apologize to these incredible competitors as well as their families. I also want to apologize to all of the WWSC competitors and their families.

These words in no way reflect the opinion of Centurion & Supreme Boats, the World Series of Wake Surfing, our sponsors or our partners. We all have immense appreciation for the investment of energy, time and money these competitors and their families make throughout the year in order to earn an invitation to wake surfing’s pinnacle event. We are all extremely saddened by these statements. It is especially disheartening because the level of competition and camaraderie at the 2024 WWSC was so amazing.

I am now working with the rest of the Centurion & Supreme Boats team to make all of the necessary changes to guard against anything like this being said again. We are now reviewing all livestream footage from the event. The livestream videos should be available early next week on YouTube.

Once more, I want to offer my sincerest apology to the Pro Female Surf division as well as all 2024 WWSC competitors. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Amy Mauzy | VP of Marketing & Brand Direction
